A full slate of games re-start the AUS regular season this week, beginning on Wednesday night as Battle of Halifax IV resumes again at DalPlex. Tigers hammered SMU earlier today in the championship game of the Shoveller and presently the Huskies sit in 7th place in the AUS, so a win is close to imperative for Coach Jonah Taussig and his crew.
The rest of the week features a plethora of 4 point games as follows:
Friday: St. FX at Dal, UNB at CBU
Saturday: Acadia at MUN (also Sunday; a pair of 4 pointers), SMU at UPEI, UNB at St. FX.
UPEI 5-2, 13-7
Dalhousie 5-2, 11-3
Acadia 5-2, 9-11
Cape Breton 4-4, 6-9
UNB 3-4, 7-10
Memorial 3-5, 6-8
Saint Mary’s 2-6, 10-8
St. FX 1-5, 5-11.
UNB makes what historically has been a trecherous, two-day trek to Sydney (Friday) and then Antigonish (Saturday). St. FX will also have played on Friday night in Halifax against Dal prior to UNB game at home. Acadia hopes to have Ben Miller back (shoulder injury) for their pair of 4 pointers in St. John’s at Memorial. After their Wednesday game at Dalplex, the Huskies travel to UPEI in a rematch of the Shoveller semi-final game.
