RSEQ: Back-to-backs rest of the way


After playing each team once in the first half, the format of the RSEQ schedule changes to back-to-back, home-and-homes as one team will get a bye each week for the next 5 weeks.  The schedule closes with the 4th games against each team in the final 3 weeks.

This coming weekend, first place McGill gets the bye from RSEQ games however Redmen have a non-conference game scheduled on Saturday night in Kingston against Queen’s Gaels.

Both UQAM and Laval have added what should be impact rotation players as Citadins added D2 transfer Charles Miller, a 5’11” three-point shooter originally from Montreal who should see 20+ minutes per game in UQAM’s rotation after going 14 for 27 from downtown in Citadins 3 games in Halifax.  Meanwhile Rouge et Or added quality in 6’3″ Frantson Demosthene, a freshman from Momerency CEGEP originally from Haiti and 5’11” Vladimir Thomas a freshman from basketball factory Thetford Academy.

Regular season games in the “Q” are as follows:

Thursday:  Laval at Concordia; Bishop’s at UQAM

Friday:  Concordia at Laval

Saturday:  UQAM at Bishop’s

Current RSEQ Standings:

McGill 4-0, 11-1

Concordia 2-2, 10-7

UQAM 2-2, 6-7

Bishop’s 1-3, 4-8

Laval 1-3, 3-7.
