Dinkins leads T-Wolves in the Soo

6’5″ U.S. import Bakarius Dinkins had 27 points and 17 rebounds, dominating inside as the visiting Lakehead Thunderwolves moved to 4-5 in OUA play with an important 73-65 win at Algoma.  Dinkins had 12 points in the pivotal fourth quarter when Lakehead pulled away and did his work on the glass, as Lakehead outrebounded Algoma 47-27.  Algoma got 17 points from Nathan Riley and 15 from last weekend’s hero at Western, 5’10” shooting guard Andre Barber.

The ‘Wolves next host McMaster Marauders for a pair of games next weekend in the Thunderdome.  Expect Mac, now on an 8 game winning streak, to be ranked in the Top 5 in the CIS after their comfortable win today at home against Western.
