Just a pair of games in the CIS this evening, both in the RSEQ, as second-place Concordia, coming off a bye week, looks to keep the pressure on first place McGill – Stingers are just one game behind the Redmen and presently own the tie-breaker – as Concordia hosts Bishop’s tonight at the Bee Hive. Recall that 6’0″ Jonathan Bermillo single-handidly lifted the Gaiters to a 66-60 win over ConU before Christmas in the only other meeting between the two teams. McGill hosts UQAM in the other game this evening with Redmen leading the season series 1-0 after a win at UQAM in November. Citadins will have 6’1″ Charles Miller in the lineup who did not play in McGill’s 74-58 win in November. Miller comes off a season-high 21 points including 5 for 10 from 3 in Citadins triple-OT win over Laval last weekend. McGill has been without 6’7″ reigning Quebec POY Francois Bourque (broken nose/concussion). Both games begin at 8 PM ET and the teams have return engagements on Saturday. Incidentially, a McGill win combined with a Bishop’s loss clinches a post-season berth for the Redmen.
