AUS: Skinn resigns from Capers

In a somewhat-surprising move, Capers Head Coach Matt Skinn has resigned effectively immediately with sources citing a move to Calgary to be closer to family as the reason.  The Welland, ON native produced some extremely athletic teams in Sydney, recruiting heavily in Southern Ontario and Capers were always competitive under his watch.  Skinn played 5 seasons for the Capers and coached for 4 compiling a regular season record of 49-31 including an AUS championship in 2012-13 when Skinn was named AUS coach-of-the-year.  Capers, like Laurier Golden Hawks after Peter Campbell’s retirement, will begin a national search for a replacement immediately as Athletic Director John Ryan stated.
