Remainder of Canada’s pre-tournament schedule

After today’ single game in Croatia, both teams travel back to Italy for a return encounter this coming Thursday in Jesolo, ITA, just outside Venice.  Croatia expects to have in the lineup 6’10” Dario Saric, a former 1st round pick of the Orlando Magic (12th pick overall in the 2014 draft), now playing for Anadolu Efes of the Turkish Basketball Super League and 30-year old veteran 6’5″ swingman Kruno Simon, who plays for EA7 Emporio Armani Milano of the Italian Serie A.  Both missed today’s game in Novigrad.   Note the growing probability that Saric will join the N.B.A.’s Philadelphia 76er’s in time for next season, where 6’5″ Nik Stauskas, who has chosen not to play for Canada this summer, also remains on the roster.  In somewhat-related news, 6’11” Kelly Olynyk of the Boston Celtics, forced to miss the summer after undergoing shoulder surgery, is travelling with the Senior National team despite not being able to play this summer.
