Gee-Gees vs. SHS cancelled; Liberty next


This morning’s uOttawa vs. Sam Houston State rematch, scheduled for 11 AM local time in Costa Rica, was cancelled and will not be replayed.  The Bearkats advised that they did not desire another game.  The Gee-Gees now prepare for tomorrow’s tilt against Liberty Flames (Lynchburg, VA) from the Big South which begins at 5 PM local time.  The Flames, who visited Canada in 2007 for games against Brock and Guelph, will also tangle with Brock later this week.  Liberty finished 13-19 last season losing in the quarter-finals of the Big South tournament by 31 to #4 seed UNC-Asheville and return 5 of their top 7 scorers from a season ago including 6’2″ redshirt senior John Dawson and 6’3″ rising sophomore Lovell Cabbil.
