Lethbridge’s Brine inks Spanish pro deal

6’6″ Brandon Brine, who was named all-Canada West after a sterling senior season during which he led his Lethbridge Pronghorns to the Canada West post-season will continue his basketball career after signing with San Pablo Inmobiliaria Miraflores Burgos in the Spanish 2nd Division (hat tip to our CW correspondent from Alberta).  Brine, originally from Australia, will join a program that plays out of a city of about 200,000 in Northern Spain and plays in a gym that seats 2,800.  “Burgos” finished third in the regular season and semi-finalists in the playoffs last season and the well-regarded site Eurobasket.com projects Brine as one of Burgos’ starters for this coming season.
