Concordia (3-0) 75, Cape Breton (0-3) 53… The Stingers dominated the second half after trailing by one at the half by dominating the glass and creating 26 Caper turnovers in what turned out to be a relatively easy win. Concordia got 14 points and 6 rebounds from 6’6″ freshman Olivier Simon, attacking the offensive glass for 14 “o” boards to offset a terrible 2 for 17 shooting performance from 3. Stingers held Capers to 5-17 from 3 and 30% shooting overall including just 16% in the second half when CBU scored just 15 points. Twelve different Stingers hit the scoresheet as Head Coach Rastko Popovic gives his deep and talented lineup as many minutes as possible. Shooting guard Jack MacCauley had 12 points for CBU while wing Seth Amoah added 11 as the Capers lost their third in a row in advance of their game tomorrow morning against Nipissing. Stingers look to capture the championship of their own tournament tomorrow afternoon against Brock Badgers.
