Dalhousie (2-0) 58, Ryerson (1-1) 54… The Tigers overcame a double digit first half deficit, using a switching defense that kept Ryerson penetration in check and Rams missed two late open looks that would have tied the game in an important road win for Dal in Toronto. Tigers had a big 5 minute stretch late in the first that got them to halftime with the lead and then held on for the win. 6’4″ Manny Diressa led the Rams with 18 points (6-14 shooting) while 6’4″ Adika Peter-McNeilly added 16 on 7-14 shooting. 6’6″ Sven Stammberger had 15 points for Dalhousie while 5th year veterans Kash Lawrence and Ritchie Kanza-Mata each added 11. Ryerson Coach Roy Rana was gracious in defeat, commenting: “We were just not able to get out and run the same way we are used to. They switched alot and we turned it over at critical times. They are a tough team”. Tigers now venture down the QEW to meet the undefeated McMaster Marauders (4-0) tomorrow afternoon at 5 PM ET at Burridge Gym.
