Wesmen remain undefeated with victory over Laurier

Winnipeg (4-0) 80, Laurier (2-2) 76…  The Wesmen completed a two-game sweep of OUA competition the Manitoba tournament with a four-point win over Laurier, gettin 29 points and 10 rebounds from 6’4″ Denzel Lynch-Blair.   Sophomore guard Will Sesay added a season-high 17 points while Ryan Oirbans and U.S. import Sean Tarver had 11.  Oirbans added eight rebounds and three blocks.  Wesmen overcame a 14 for 30 effort by the Hawks from beyond the arc which included a 5-10 effort by 6’2″ guard Tevaun Kokko, who finished with 25 points.  Wesmen next host their own tournament in two weeks when Dakota College and Brandon Bobcats are on the slate.  Laurier faces off with Guelph next weekend for a single non-conference exhibition game.  Manitoba is taking on Lakehead in the nightcap of the tournament.
