Parade to foul line hurts Lancers in loss to Carroll

Carroll University 63, Windsor 58... At the toughest of times, it is difficult to overcome a 42-11 advantage at the free throw line.  For the young and maturing Windsor Lancers, having to deal with that disadvantage – especially on their home floor – was too much as NCAA Division III power Carroll University Pioneers closed their Canadian tour with a victory at the St. Denis Center.  Pioneers, who knocked off Humber College Hawks 82-62 last night, finished 2-2 on their trip to Canada including a pair of losses to start the weekend at Seneca Sting and at U of T Varsity Blues.  6’2″ Micqueel Martin had 12 points to lead Windsor while 5’10” Joe Rocca again pushed a triple-double with 8 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists as Lancers had a very solid defensive game and played very hard as their young group continues to mature ahead of this weekend’s RBC Brock Classic when Lancers get UQAM Friday at 4 PM, York Lions Saturday at 5 PM and AUS favorite Dalhousie Tigers Sunday at 1 PM.
