Sunday’s action in the CIS

Light schedule today as the RBC Brock Classic concludes with three games, none involving the host Badgers.  There are two potentially very good games as Dalhousie, fresh off a dramatic and tension-filled win over Brock last night, takes on Windsor Lancers while Ryerson Rams and Regina Cougars meet in the tournament finale at 3 PM.  In Montreal, Laurentian and UBC-Okanagan meet both looking for their first CIS/U-Sport win of the pre-season.  The originally scheduled game for 3 PM ET between Western and MacEwan in Edmonton no longer appears on the Mustangs schedule and it is a bit too early to make contact to confirm.

Sunday’s action (all games Eastern time):

11 AM  York (0-4) vs. UQAM (4-4)… Citadins looking to break a three game winning streak and Lions simply looking to gain some positive momentum.

11 AM Laurentian (0-2) vs. UBC-O (0-4) at McGill… Two former National team teammates in Shawn Swords (Voyageurs) and Peter Guarasci (Heat) meet in Montreal in a neutral site game.

1 PM  Dalhousie (6-1) vs. Windsor (4-1)… Lancers catch Dal after an emotional, gut-wrenching win over host Brock last night, coming off a sluggish effort in a win over York.  Tigers depth will be tested this afternoon against what is likely to be a well-prepared Windsor side with explosive 6’2″ Micqueel Martin and 5’10” Mike Rocca against a 5th-year laden group of Tigers.

3 PM Regina (3-6) vs. Ryerson (1-2)… Cougars look to go 3-0 on the weekend as Regina appears to be returning to health while Rams come off a decisive win over Niagara College.
