Laval (5-9, 3-1) at McGill (9-3, 3-1)… RSEQ tips off the U-Sport second half tonight in Montreal as Redmen host Rouge et Or for the second time this season. Recall these teams met on the first night of the RSEQ season also in Montreal and McGill used a 12-2 run to start the fourth quarter to take the lead for good and then held on at the foul line in the final minute for a 62-61 victory. These teams are tied for the lead in the “Q” at present and will meet again on Friday night in Ste. Foy. McGill then gets set to meet Ivy League NCAA Division 1 power Harvard Crimson in Cambridge, MA next Tuesday. Laval played one game over the Christmas break during a training camp in Toronto, losing 78-61 to the host University of Toronto Varsity Blues. 6’1″ Nicolas Begin led Laval with 16 points.
