Miller’s buzzer-beater propels Citadins at Concordia


UQAM (8-9, 3-3) 68, Concordia (9-7, 3-3) 67... 6’0″ Charles Miller hit the game-winner at the buzzer as the Citadins shook off a sluggish holiday season with a huge road win in the Bee Hive, putting even more room between last-place Bishop’s and the rest of the pack in the RSEQ.  Miller finished with 10 points and 5 assists in 34 minutes helping UQAM avenge an earlier pair of losses to the Stingers.  Athletic 6’5″ wing Ibrahim Sylla, normally a reserve off the bench for UQAM who continues to improve nightly, started and finished with a career-high 22 points including 3-6 from three to lead Citadins while 6’11” center Yassin Debache added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks.  Burly 6’6″ forward Michael Fosu led Concordia with 16 points which was out rebounded 43-33 including giving up 11 offensive rebounds.
