Lancers add D2 transfer guard from Gannon

Adding some quality, plug-and-play back-court talent to the front end of the rotation, Windsor coach Chris Oliver welcomes 6’2″ guard Marcus Jones, a transfer from NCAA Division 2 Gannon (Pa.) who spent four seasons including a redshirt campaign with Golden Knights after prepped at Athlete’s Institute in Orangeville in 2012-13.  This past season as a redshirt junior, Jones averaged 2.0 points per game in 9.2 minutes per game after starting 8 games as a sophomore.

Jones will have two seasons of eligibility remaining and adds depth to Windsor’s back-court which will once again be led by feisty 5’10” OUA All-Star point guard Mike Rocca.  Lancers are also looking to finalize one more August exhibition vs. NCAA already scheduled to play Jacksonville on Friday, August 11th at the St. Denis Center.  Oliver continues to work the recruiting trail with the objective of signing at least a couple more new faces prior to the start of camp.
