Action continues this weekend primarily focused on the GTA as Ryerson Rams, who were defeated by 10 on Thursday by SMU Mustangs, host Binghamton Bearcats, 0-2 thus far on their tour of Canada with losses to Brock and Laurier earlier this week. Binghamton concludes their four-game set on Sunday afternoon against University of Toronto Varsity Blues (McMaster Marauders were originally Bearcats final opponent) with both games being played at Kerr Hall. Today’s Rams/Bearcats game is part of an afternoon doubleheader as Southern Methodist will play a team consisting of Crown League players after the Rye/Binghamton match.
In other action, Montana State plays their second of two games at Calgary against the undermanned Dinos who are without Coach Dan Vanhooren, guard David Kapinga and wing Mambi Diawara – all with Canada’s FISU Games team currently preparing for their second of two exhibition games against Team USA/Purdue in Indiana. Team USA won last night in Carmel, IN and this afternoon’s game at Lafayette Jefferson H.S. will also be available for live viewing beginning at 4 PM ET.
Laurentian Voyageurs continue their exhibition set in Costa Rica with a game against Kent State (NCAA Division 1).
On Sunday, as well as the aforementioned U of T/Binghamton game at Kerr Hall, Jacksonville Dolphins, coming off an OT loss at Windsor last night, meet Brock (1-0 vs. NCAA with a win over Binghamton) and Montana State and Alberta have an afternoon rematch in Calgary.
