6’7″ Dani Elgadi had 20 points and 7 rebounds and 6’1″ Michael Asemota, newly-inserted into Brock’s starting lineup had another solid 15 point effort on 7-11 shooting as the Badgers pulled away in the second quarter for a 16 point halftime lead and defeated Jacksonville Dolphins 85-65 this afternoon at the Bob Davis Gym in St. Catharines.
5’11” point guard Tyler Brown had another energetic effort with 9 points, 8 assists (against only 2 turnovers) and 4 steals as the Badgers forced 25 Dolphin turnovers. Brock also received a wonderful game off the bench from 6’5″ freshman Godsman Kwakwah (Vanier College/Montreal) who hit 3 of 6 threes and finished with 13 points in just 15 minutes. 6’7″ Cassidy Ryan started and added 12 points/5 rebounds for Brock (2-0 vs. NCAA D1 teams) which now packs and heads for U.S. Virgin Islands, where their first game will be Wednesday against Vanderbilt from the NCAA D1 SEC.
Brock held Jacksonville to just 23 first half points on 29.6% shooting and 0-7 threes and established their largest lead of the game at 24 points late in the third quarter.
